Padres seeking a starting pitcher
- Updated: November 24, 2012
The San Diego Padres are in need for a starting pitcher as they are unlikely to get a top hitter.
The Padres are interested in the 32 year old starter Dan Haren, but it all depends on his price range.
Last season with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Haren had a record of 12 wins and 13 losses with an ERA of 4.33 in 30 games started.
Right hand starter Shaun Marcum could be “Plan B” for San Diego, Center reports.
Shaun Marcum won 7 game and lost 4 but in only 21 games started last season for the Brewers.
The San Diego Padres are more likely to trade for a starter than signing one in the free agency.
