Reds sign Cesar Izturiz to a minor league contract

Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports that the Cincinnati Reds have signed Cesar Izturiz to a minor league deal with an invitation to MLB Spring Training.
Izturiz, 32, posted a .241/.254/.343 batting line with 2 home runs and 11 RBI’s in 166 plate appearances for the Milwaukee Brewers and Washington Nationals last year.
For his career, he’s a lifetime .255 hitter over 12 seasons. Also, Izturis has played 1,120 games at shortstop, 52 games at third base and 48 games at second base.
